Save Money Using Broadband Phones
July 18th, 2008 · No Comments
A broadband phone is used with a broadband Internet connection to make phone calls. Telecommunication companies set up infrastructure that can transfer voice data from one end to another, allowing consumers to make calls through traditional digital phones without realizing that the calls are being transmitted via the internet. The voice is received from the phone and broken down into data packets and sent through the internet to a receiving station. The receiving station then translates the data back into voice data so that the intended receiver understands the information sent as if he was talking to the person with the use of a regular phone. A slower Internet connection makes the voice signal choppy and unclear, so it is important to have a quality broadband connection.

SQL Injection Prevention Guidelines For Developers
July 17th, 2008 · No Comments
One of the biggest flaws in the PHP language is the fact that it allows for web developers to make very big mistakes in regards to security. One example of this is through SQL injections- an exploit that malicious users take advantage of when web developers don’t accurately safeguard their application.
It’s rather frightening to think that a statement such as “b’ OR ‘b’='b’” can render one’s security useless. But this is indeed true, and is what we call an SQL injection. SQL injections have been the most popular way to “hack” a website in recent years. As long as the input can be validated before it is passed along to the SQL query, we can ensure that nothing bad will go wrong.

How To Prevent Disastrous SQL Injection Attacks

SQL injections are defined by the vulnerability in the SQL query that PHP developers make use of. When the developer in question puts forth an SQL query, he or she needs to make an effort to validate any input that could come from any web form or entry field. A simple input statement such as “a’ OR ‘a’='a’” could compromise the security of one’s database with ease.

WoW Millionaire - Someone Accumulated 1 Million WoW Gold?
July 16th, 2008 · No Comments
I ran across something the other day that took me a bit by surprise. A player in WoW has reached the gold cap limit with not one, not two but three toons. He was on the verge of becoming a WoW millionaire. I couldn’t believe it.
I’ve seen lots of WoW gold before; heck I thought I had lots of gold. My guild bank has around 10,000 gold and that’s with over 35 active raiders chipping in weekly 1 million? That’s 1,000,000 gold… I needed to see proof.
